Asia Pacific Scholars' Reflective Dialogues on the Future of Education Innovation and Teacher Education in the New Normal amidst Global Education

The Asia Pacific Association for Teacher Education (APATE) and the Taiwan Education Alliance convened a conference on "Educational Innovation and Teacher Education in the New Normal" on November 18-19, 2022.With the keynote speakers and panelists invited from approximately ten countries," attendees exchanged ideas and explored pandemic-related issues concerning the development of teacher education systems, teaching, and research in and across different cultural contexts. The lively debate and discussions either in the in-person (physical) or online sessions of the two-day forum feature the concerns of educational researchers and practitioners from various countries concerning the new normal of education.

Nobel Prize winner Gao Xingjian's manuscripts on display in NTNU

Around 600 manuscripts and artworks donated by Gao Xingjian (高行健), Nobel Prize laureate in Literature in 2000, will be displayed from Wednesday to Dec. 18 at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), according to the university.

NTNU Ranked 3rd in Taiwan in QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2023

On October 26, Quacquarelli Symonds announced the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2023, the first rankings focused on social and environmental sustainability performance in higher education institutions. NTNU is ranked 3rd in Taiwan and around 50th globally in Sustainable Institutions and 100th in education influence. President Wu Cheng Chih says that the resources of the university are given by the community and we should contribute ourselves to the community. In addition to pursuing the sustainable development of school affairs, National Taiwan Normal University also combines the power of the community, government and NGOs to jointly promote global sustainable development. The fruitful results have been recognized by the international community.
