Agreement Renewed with Leiden University, the Netherlands

With the witness of Ministry of Education, NTNU and Holland’s Leiden University renewed their academic cooperation agreement, increasing exchange student quota from 5 to 8 both way. This allowed more students to broaden their international horizons and to learn from each culture. Robert Coelen, Ex-Principle of Leiden University, visited Taiwan for a cooperation forum for botanic medicine and bio science on March 8th and 9th, when he also signed academic cooperation agreements with 4 Taiwan universities. Leiden University has cooperation with many other universities in the world, actively encouraging international students to go to the Netherlands under their exchange scheme.

NTNU’s First UBA Championship After 22 Years

NTNU did not repeat the close loss in the University Basketball Association (UBA) last year. With deafening cheers from the audience, it defeated Chinese Cultural University (CCU) with 84:62 and won the first UBA Championship in Men Division ever in NTNU history.

More than 300 school principals, presidents and high-ranking authorities from different elementary, junior, high schools and universities, showed their concerns toward the minority students who cannot afford their education during a conference at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) today.
