International Forum on Language Issues in English-Medium InstructionThe International Forum on Language issues in English-Medium Instruction will be held on April 22-23, 2023. The two-day event is organized by the Department of English, College of Liberal Arts, and Office of Bilingual Education, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), and co-organized by the Office of Research and Development, NTNU and the National Science and Technology Council. International scholars from cross-nations and disciplines will be presenting their research as well as discussing pertinent issues and challenges regarding the theme of EMI.
Online Meeting between NTNU and University of South Carolina for Dual Degree Programhe Graduate Institute of Sport, Leisure and Hospitality Management of NTNU held an online meeting with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management of University of South Carolina on January 14t.. Dean Li-Kang Chi of College of Sports and Recreation, Deputy Director Chang Yu Kai of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Chair Tan Tien Chin of the Gradate Institute of Sport, Leisure and Hospitality Management attended the meeting to meet Associate Dean Samuel Y. Todd, Director, International Institute for Foodservice Research and Education Robin DiPietro Program Director Marketa Kubickova and International Internship Manager and Instructor Christina Sayers to discuss on the double PhD degree of NTNU and University of South Carolina. A MOU of dual degree in master and PhD level was signed in 2014 and renewed in 2019. So far, NTNU has sent seven students to South Carolina for dual degree and five of them successfully finished the studies. Now we are planning on broadening the exchange programs for students at both sides.
2021 Asia-Pacific Association for Teacher Education Annual Conference held OnlineThe 2021 Asia-Pacific Association for Teacher Education Annual Conference, organized by Taiwan Education Alliance and Asia Pacific Association for Teacher Education, was held online on November 26 and 27 under the topic of Shaping Future Teachers for Global Education Changes. The discussion is on policy formulation and educational research in different countries. Scholars and panelist are from 13 countries and over a thousand participants joined the online conference, which shows the concern of educators from all over the world.
The 8th International School Chinese Language Education Conference and Workshop Successfully HeldThe 8th International School Chinese Language Education Conference and Workshop was hosted by Chinese Language and Technology Research Center of the National Taiwan Normal University and co-organized by Kang Chiao International School (Xiugang Campus) on November 25-27th, 2021. Over 200 participants joined the tree day conference from America, U.K., Canada, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, China and Vietnam.
