NTNU Forum on Internationalization of Higher Education: Top Universities from America, Europe, and Asia Gathered Together

National Taiwan Normal University held the "NTNU Forum on Internationalization of Higher Education" from March 21st to 22nd, 2023. The forum invited international leaders and academic administrators from five top universities in America, Europe, and Asia, as well as representatives from foreign institutions in Taiwan, to share their internationalization strategies. This is also one of the important actions of NTNU in the new phase of the Ministry of Education's Higher Education SPROUT Project and Bilingual Benchmark University. Through scholars and experts exploring the trends and challenges of higher education internationalization in the globalization era, the forum promotes international exchange and cooperation in higher education and further enhances Taiwan's international competitiveness in higher education.

European Higher Education Forum promotes regional balance and creates win-win situation

National Taiwan Normal University held an international forum on higher education on March 21st. The second forum focused on "Internationalization of Higher Education and International Academic Exchange in Europe". It was hosted by Yeh Ying-jung, Dean of Office of International Affair of NTUST, and invited three speakers from different countries to share their insights on education.

Deepening Taiwan-US International Exchange and Cooperation in American Higher Education Forum

Taiwan Normal University held the Higher Education Internationalization Forum on March 21st. In the session "Internationalization and Academic Exchange in American Higher Education," Roger Brindley, Vice Provost of Pennsylvania State University, Sonia Feigenbaum, the Senior Vice Provost of the University of Texas at Austin, and Randall Nadeau, the Executive Director of the Fulbright Program, gathered to share their experiences and cooperation strategies in international higher education exchange.

NTNU Forum on Internationalization of Higher Education

National Taiwan Normal University has invited vice presidents and provosts of international affairs and academic administrators from four top universities in the United States, Europe, and Asia as well as representatives of foreign institutions stationed in Taiwan to share strategies for internationalization. The two-day forum will explore the current status and trends of internationalization and international cooperation in higher education among various countries, exploring topics such as international strategic partnerships, international academic exchanges, global virtual exchange, global alumni relations, international student recruitment, transnational education and internships, English as a medium of instruction, and overseas Mandarin teaching.

Online Meeting between NTNU and University of South Carolina for Dual Degree Program

he Graduate Institute of Sport, Leisure and Hospitality Management of NTNU held an online meeting with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management of University of South Carolina on January 14t.. Dean Li-Kang Chi of College of Sports and Recreation, Deputy Director Chang Yu Kai of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Chair Tan Tien Chin of the Gradate Institute of Sport, Leisure and Hospitality Management attended the meeting to meet Associate Dean Samuel Y. Todd, Director, International Institute for Foodservice Research and Education Robin DiPietro Program Director Marketa Kubickova and International Internship Manager and Instructor Christina Sayers to discuss on the double PhD degree of NTNU and University of South Carolina. A MOU of dual degree in master and PhD level was signed in 2014 and renewed in 2019. So far, NTNU has sent seven students to South Carolina for dual degree and five of them successfully finished the studies. Now we are planning on broadening the exchange programs for students at both sides.
