Academics from the Institut de France came to NTNU
Ministry of Culture invited two heavyweights from the Institut de France, Marianne BASTID-BRUGUIERE and Jean-Robert PITTE to deliver speeches in NTNU. One speech is about bilateral relationship between Taiwan and France and the other is about the dining culture of France. Distinguish guests included former minister of education and alumni Guo Wei-Fan also joined the event.2015.0918
NTNU reached 376 in QS Ranking
QS World University Rankings of global higher education for 2015/2016 were announced on September 15th. Among more than 40,000 universities worldwide, the ranking of NTNU has improved. In 2013, NTNU was ranked 485 in 2013, 416 in 2014 and this year 376. Among universities in Taiwan, NTNU is ranked second on the criteria of internationalisation, and fourth on the criteria of academic reputation. It’s needless to say that the world has recognized the research quality and internationalization of NTNU. The new rankings show that National Taiwan Normal University has truly become a comprehensive university.2015.0424
NTNU and Tokyo University of the Arts Sign Academic Exchange Agreement
NTNU College of Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts’ College of Fine Arts signed an academic exchange agreement on April 24th. Through mutual cooperation, the two schools hope to promote the development of the arts in East Asia and broaden the perspectives of students and faculty by offering them more resources.2015.0416
Leiden University Visits in Hopes of Enhancing Exchange
NTNU and Leiden University in the Netherlands have been cooperating for a number of years. On April 16th, Leiden University’s president, Carel J.J.M. Stolker, and vice president, H.W. te Beest, paid a visit to NTNU. After talks with NTNU President Kuo-en Chang, Stolker and te Beest toured the entire NTNU campus on Heping E. Road.2015.0313
