NTNU and UCLA Sign Collaboration Agreement for Taiwan Huayu Best Program

National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) signed a Collaboration Agreement (CA) on November 2, 2021. Through this Collaboration Agreement (CA), NTNU will send outstanding Chinese language instructors to UCLA each year, while UCLA students will come to NTNU for in-depth Chinese language study and provide English language tutorials to local elementary schools in New Taipei City.

Joint Online Conference by NTNU and the University of Glasgow on Climate Change Initiatives

On October 1, 2021, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and the University of Glasgow (UOG) hosted an international conference online, inviting faculty from both institutions to deeply consider environmental education for sustainability. Specifically, the two universities discussed practical actions being implemented in Taiwan and the UK, related curriculum to be established in both schools, and measures for sharing research findings between NTNU and UOG to increase academic collaboration opportunities.

Online Forum of Asian Youth Education Development in 2020

The Division of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students organized the 2019 Asian Youth Education Development-Secondary School Principal Forum last year, inviting principals from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Myanmar to Taiwan to discuss the current situation of secondary education and topics on school management, which were highly praised by the attendants. Therefore, this year, the Division organized the "Asian Youth Education Development in 2020: Secondary School Progression Policy and Approach Forum-Internationalization Experience Dialogue". With the impact of the Covid-19, it is decided that the forum will take place online.

2020 Asia-Pacific Education Held Online

The goal of Asia-Pacific Association for Teacher Education, an association initiated by the College of Education of NTNU, is to develop teacher education and teacher training strategies in the Asia-Pacific area. This year, the forum, held on November 13, is moved online but the discussion remain heated. The Forum aims to provide a platform for participants from various countries in the Asia-Pacific region to share their educational experiences and inspire possible cross-border academic cooperation.

Taiwan Team ranked 6th in 2020 International Olympiad in Informatics

The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, had a good showing at the 32nd International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). A total of 87 countries and 343 participants are in this game. The Taiwan team got three silver and one bronze, the one of the 18 counties that receive 4 medals and we are ranked as number 6 according to total points.
