NTNU Department of Special Education awarded 2020 Pilot Overseas Internship Program Grant

The Ministry of Education announced the winners of the 2020 Pilot Overseas Internship Program at the end of May 2020. This year, a total of six projects were submitted by NTNU. One of the projects is a collaboration between NTNU and the Gifted Education Resource Institute of Purdue University and the School of Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences of Kent State University proposed by the Professor Chiang I-Tsun, Chairperson of the Department of Special Education, and Assistant Professor Chiu Chun-Yu, which was selected to be one of the Pilot Overseas Internship Programs to receive the grant after a review process conducted by the Ministry of Education.

Announcement on the Adjustment to Class Formats in NTNU

As a response to the pandemic and part of our efforts to minimize the congregation of people, resolutions have been passed in the March 18 and April 8 Academic and Executive Leadership Meetings stating that all courses with 60 or more enrolled students will switch to online instruction until the end of the semester. Since there had been confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NTNU, it was announced on April 3 that all classes will be held online from April 6 to April 17.

Education of NTNU at 31st in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020

The latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 was announced by Quacquarelli Symonds on March 5th. Three subjects from NTNU are within top 100 of the world, they are Library and Information Management, ranked at 50th, Education ranked at 31st and linguistics, ranked at 51~100. This is an embodiment of NTNU’s work on Internationalization and cross disciplinary collaboration. Traditional subject is reinforced with latest technology, making NTNU full of academic energy.
