Sharing from Pre-service Teachers about Oversea Internship

In recent years, NTNU has worked hard on training International pre-service teachers. In the afternoon of October 13th, the Office of Teacher Training and Career Service organized presentations by students who have gone abroad for educational internships.

UC Berkeley Signs MOU with NTNU

NTNU signed an MOU with the University of California, Berkeley. UB Berkeley will send 3 university students from the Dept. of chemistry to NTNU. This is a great opportunity for students to learn from each other academically, broaden their horizon and it’s also a good start for cooperation.

Award Given to NTNU for Taking Good Care of Forgiven Students

NTNU was awarded as the excellent school of foreign student counseling by the Ministry of Education on October 11th. Associate Professor Chen Jia-Ling from the Division of Preparatory Programs and Administrator Alice Tu from OIA received an honor award of excellent member.

ACC Volunteer in Africa Sharing Experiences

The Amitofo Care Centre (ACC) - which comprises of an administration centre, children’s dormitories, youth dormitories, preparatory school, kindergarten, library, activity centre, medical centre, vocational training centre, religious centre, CBO etc - is founded and directed by Buddhist clergy from the East with an aspiration and mission to directly rear and care for orphans of Africa within the humanitarian and educational umbrella. The main principles of ACC are based on local African culture, Chinese culture and Buddhist philosophy which are given to the orphans in need.

10th International Academic Seminar of Taiwan Culture at NTNU

The 10th International Academic Seminar of Taiwan Culture, organized by the Department of Taiwan Culture, Languages and Literature, was held on September 8th and 9th. The topic was about gender and this is one of the valuable seminar about Taiwan literature in 10 years. The issues discussed in the seminar includes gender writing, image reproduction, queer research, masculinity, identity, ethnic politics and women's culture. This shows the new trend of gender and Taiwan literature in Taiwan.
