Dept. of Physical Education of Hanyang University Connected to NTNU

The leader in physical education, the Department of Physical Education of NTNU, signed a MOU with Hanyang University. Chairman Lin Mei Chun visited Hanyang University in June 10th and attended the signing ceremony. On August 16th, Prof. Park from the Department of Physical Education came to NTNU and signed for the renamed appendix.

Athletes Got 1 Gold and 1 Silver in Taekwondo Poomsae 2017 Universiade

On the second day of games, NTNU athletes continues to win glory for the country. Su Chia En from the Dept. of Athlete Performance grabbed the first gold medal in mixed pair poomsae with her partner Lee Cheng Gang. In the men's team category, Chang Wei Chieh, Hsieh Ming Yang and Huang Chia Jung garnered a silver medal with a final score of 7.587. The gold medal was won by Li Cheng Gang and Su Chia En in the mixed pair category, with a final score of 7.853.

Taiwan’s Young Inventors Grabbed 7 Gold at the 13th IEYI

The 13th International Exhibition for Young Inventors (IEYI) was held at Nagoya, Japan from July 27th to 29that Nagoya International Exhibition Hall. The organizer is Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation.

Chinese Taipei Tug of War Women Bring 4 Gold Medals in a Row

Chinese Taipei Tug of War Women’s team attended the World Games at Poland and bring back 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. On the finalist against China on July 29th, the Taiwan team won and achieve the 4th victory in a row. President Tsai Ing-wen met the girls from Chinese Taipei on August 2nd. She shook hands with them and said that the callus on their hands is prettier than the gold medal.

Czech Students Visited the Dept. of Taiwan Culture, Languages and Literature

14 students from Masaryk University, Czech Republic came to NTNU on July 17th and visited the Department of Taiwan Culture, Languages and Literature. The students has learned Mandarin for about a year back home and they are interested in knowing more about Taiwan.
