9 Subjects from NTNU are in the QS Rankings by Subject

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2016 for 2016 were announced on March 22nd .A total number of 28 subjects of NTNU are being ranked and now it has entered the rankings in a total of 9 subjects. When compared with the result of last year, mechanical engineering, physics and astronomy are new subjects of this year. Moreover, the education subject has made it into the top 50 subjects in the world for consecutive 3 years, making NTNU the only university in Taiwan that is part of the top 50s in the category of Civil & Structural Engineering.

First Online Program for Teaching Chinese as Second Language

With the economic growth in China, Chinese has become a dominate language in the world. NTNU announced on Marth 11st that for the first time, we are recruiting oversea students for the on-the-job training program for Teaching Chinese as Second Language. All courses are taken online, so they don’t have attend classes in Taiwan. It’s estimated that students can get their degrees in 2 years.

Hong Kong Media Come to NTNU

With an aim to know about the humanities and arts of universities in Taiwan, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Hong Kong visited Taiwan with Hong Kong media representatives. They came to NTNU on the 4th of March. The Dean of International Affairs, Frank Y-H Ying, the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts, Cheng Tai Le, and the Chair of the Music Department, Chinn-Horng Nanette CHEN all welcomed the guest enthusiastically. The Chair and former Chair of Hong Kong & Macau Students Association and a music major were interviewed.
