NTNU Aids Students for APhO and Brings 3 Gold

The result of Asian Physics Olympiad 2016 came out on 6th of May. Under the training of professors from NTNU, the Taiwanese team bring back 3 golden medals, 1 silver medal, 3 copper medals and 1 honorable mention. Among 27 countries and regions and 193 students, Taiwan is ranked only second to China.

NTNU Got 118 Medals in National Intercollegiate Athletic Games

The National Intercollegiate Athletic Games hosted by National Taitung University ended on May 4th. NTNU boosts 40 gold medals, 40 silver medals and 38 copper medals, accomplishing the goal of 40 golden medals. The Universiade Taipei 2017 will be held next year and National Taitung University hand over the authority to National Taiwan University.

International Cultural Week at NTNU

The annual international culture week is back! This year, we have as much as 26 booths representing 18 countries from students or institutes from a certain country. You can enjoy authentic exotic food or experience a foreign culture in booths here and there. Indonesian students from NTUST dance on stage happily despite the hot summer.

NTNU Chair Prof. Liu Kuo Sung Becomes Member of American Academy

The American Academy serves as a champion of scholarship, civil dialogue, and useful knowledge. As one of the country's oldest learned societies and independent policy research centers, the Academy convenes leaders from the academic, business, and government sectors to respond to the challenges facing the nation and the world. Recently, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences has announced its new members in 2016 with a total number of 213 people from 17 countries. Liu Kuo Sung is one of them. As a chair professor in NTNU and an alumnus from the Department of Fine Arts, he is the first Taiwanese member in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Human Activity is within 700 km

The Chair Professor of Graduate Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, NTNU and member of Academia Sinica Cheng Chin-Chuan visited NTNU on April 27th and gave us a marvelous talk about history, language and culture. The topic of his speech is about the limit of human activity is around 700 km. Prof. Cheng delivered his key point in different facets.
