NTNU hosts international family policy conference

The Ministry of Education will consider holding a second conference next year on family and urban policies after the success of last weekend's conference, hosted by NTNU's Department of Human Development and Family Studies. The two-day event brought together academics, professionals, and government representatives from Taiwan and abroad to discuss some of the country's major pressing social issues.

NTNU Human Development students promote parent-child bonding

Juniors from NTNU's Department of Human Development and Family Studies got an early start on giving back to the community this month thanks to a parent-child camp held in conjunction with Bali Resurrection Church (八里復活基督教會). The camp, held on May 18, brought two generations together to participate in three-legged races, snack-making, and other activities focusing on cooperation and team spirit.

Visiting students from Shanghai share their take on Taiwan trip

Fifteen students from Shanghai Normal Univeristy wrapped up a 12-week visit to Taiwan last Friday with pictures and videos that summed up their experience learning about the education system here. The students came at the invitation of National Taiwan Normal University's Office of Teacher Education and Careers Service.

National Taiwan Normal University welcomed back a very special alumnus this past Wednesday -- former Republic of China (ROC) President Lee Teng-hui (李登輝), the first chief executive elected directly by the Taiwanese people.
