NTNU Renews MOU with SFU

On March 29th, President of Simon Fraser University Andrew Petter and administrators came to NTNU to meet with President Wu Cheng Chih for re-signing the MOU. Vice President for International Affairs Yu Kuang Chao also came to the meeting. They have spent a nice time together and deepen the connection between the two schools.

Academic Administrator Leadership Seminar at NTNU with Global View

The Academic Administrator Leadership Seminar, held for academic leaders in different universities in Taiwan rounded off on March 2nd, thanks to President Hsu Tien Ming of the National Academy for Educational Research, Chairman of the Department of Physics Liu Hsiang Lin and Chairman Yu Mei Kuei of the Graduate Institute of Social Work. It's hoped that after this seminar, all leaders in higher education in Taiwan can see the local issue with a Global view.

Pennsylvania State University Visited NTNU for Cooperation

Vice Provost for Global Programs, Michael Adewumi, Director of Global Engagement Martin Trethewey, Professor Rose Lee‐Yong Tan and other administrators from Pennsylvania State University visited NTNU on October 26th. A luncheon was held for Pennsylvania State University (PSU) alumni and Vice President Wu Cheng Chih. On October 27th, the administrators met with Vice President Sung Yao Ting to discuss the benchmarking policy.

Professor Wu Cheng Chih Elected to be the 14th President of NTNU

After four months of recommendation process, interviews, public hearings and final assessment, the Presidential Election Committee has finally decide the next president of NTNU. Vice President Wu Cheng Chih, from the Graduate Institute of Information and Computer Education was elected as the new President of NTNU. The term of office is expected to start in April 22nd for four years.

Award Given to NTNU for Taking Good Care of Forgiven Students

NTNU was awarded as the excellent school of foreign student counseling by the Ministry of Education on October 11th. Associate Professor Chen Jia-Ling from the Division of Preparatory Programs and Administrator Alice Tu from OIA received an honor award of excellent member.
