Prayer Rooms in DPPOCS for Oversea Students

There are more than one thousand overseas Chinese students from more than 20 countries studying at The Division of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students. With a view to respect different religions, the prayer room for Buddhist, Taoist, Islamist, Catholists and Christians are set up. On the evening of December 22nd, president Chang, irector Wu Chung Hsin attended the open ceremony of this prayer room with faculties. This is one of the first prayer rooms set up in Universities in Taiwan.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China Visited NTNU

Vice President of The University of Nottingham Ningbo China came visit NTNU on December 9th. President Chang, Director of OIA Yu Kuang Chao and Vice Director Huang received them in person, hoping to turn new page for the cooperation between two sides.

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Visited NTNU

NTNU has nearly 300 sister schools around the world and 96 of them are in Asia. On December 2nd, Principal of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(HUSF), Prof. In-Chul KIM, Director of OIA, Prof.Jae-Ho HWANG, Prof.Dae-Guen LIM and Assistant Chang from the Department of Internaional and Corss-strait Education. They were welcomed by Vice President Cheng Chi Fu, Yu Kuang Chao, and Vice President for Office of International Affairs and Director Hsu from the Chinese Department.

NTNU Goes to Malaysia Recruiting Students

In respond to the New Southbound Policy, the higher education of Taiwan is actively looking for great students. Five Presidents from top Universities of NTU system and Yunlin Universities worked together and went to Kuala Lumper, Malaysia from November 4th to 6th and held 3 orientations. Around 356 spots are open for South East Asian students who are interested in the nice teaching quality Taiwan offers.

Hanoi Vietnam National University visited NTNU

NTNU has had exchange activities frequently with universities in Southeast Asian countries. In addition to sharing research and education experiences, the university has also implemented the international policy of NTNU. In November 14th, the president of Vietnam National University came to NTNU with faculties. President Zhang Guoen, Dean of College of Science Chen Kun Ming, Director of the International Affairs Office of Yu Kuang Chao and Deputy Director of International Affairs Huang Chi Yu came to this meeting.
