“Homecoming Train” Christmas Gala Brings a Global Campus Together

Cardboard train installations and a blue-and-white Christmas tree marked the setting at the Assembly Hall on the Gongguan Campus on the evening of November 28, as the annual Christmas Gala took place under the theme “Homecoming Train.” The event was jointly organized by the Office of International Affairs and the International Youth (IY) volunteer team, with venue design inspired by The Polar Express.

Nobel laureate Didier Queloz delivered a public lecture at NTNU on November 24, addressing the relationship between science, society, and the search for life in the universe. NTNU Advances EMI Teaching and International Collaboration with Fulbright

As global higher education increasingly emphasizes English-Medium Instruction (EMI) and intercultural competence, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) continues to strengthen its bilingual learning environment and expand international partnerships. On Tuesday (11/19), the Office of Bilingual Education (OBE) and the Center for Academic Literacy (CAL) hosted a delegation from three U.S. universities (Columbia University, University of Maryland College Park, and Arizona State University), showcasing NTNU’s progress in EMI curriculum development, student support, and cross-cultural collaboration.

EMI TOEFL Waiver Pilot Recognized by U.S. Universities

On November 17, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced the launch of the EMI TOEFL Waiver Pilot Program at a press conference for the Bilingual Learning Program for College Students. As one of the benchmark universities under Taiwan’s national bilingual education policy, NTNU was invited to share its experience in implementing English-Medium Instruction (EMI).
