The Song of the Angel Played the Song Above the Sky

The music department orchestra “The Song of the Angel” is going to perform in the National Concert Hall on December 13th. Professor Hsu Ching-hsin and the Phoenix Orchestra conductor Lawrence Golan will lead the orchestra together.

NTNU Musical Metamorphosis Signed Contract with Record Company

Graduate Institute of Performing Arts (GIPA), NTNU, will present a self-produced original musical, Metamorphosis on the 3rd of March. At its press conference on the 30th of April, many theatre VIPs came to show their support, including Liang Zhi-Min, a director from Godot Theatre Company, and Yang Zhong-Heng, Artistic Director of the theatre branch under All Music magazine.

Students of GITI Won 1st and 2nd Place in Cross-Strait Interpretation Competition

On April 12th, Huang Zhi-Jie and Guo Tian-Gun, students from the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation, NTNU, defeated selected students from across China and won the 1st and 2nd place in the 1st Cross-Strait Interpretation Competition in Xiamen.

Education Night—Sailing of the Pirate Ship

On April 10th, a grand flag-dance and an enthusiastic cheerleading show opened the 2009 Education Night. Tang Guang-Ding, Chairman of the Department of Education, tried his hand at singing and sang On the Golden Beach, symbolizing the sailing of this educational pirate ship. Immediately after the chairman’s performance followed a variety of short plays, singing and dancing performances, fully exhibiting the energy and talents of education major students. The exciting programme of the night attracted a record-breaking number of audience composed of people from both inside and outside NTNU.
