NTNU-AI Tops at International Competitions

The team of building robots, NTNU-AI, made of students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, has been awarded in many occasions. This August, they attended Robo Cup2019 and FIRA Robo World Cup and won the third and the first individually. The champion robot is even invited by a south Korean business to exhibit at the first robot theme park Robotland in the world, which will open in September.

NTNU Student Won Second Place at Buffet Crampon Clarinet Competition

Buffet Crampon is a French manufacturer of woodwind musical instruments, including oboes, flutes, saxophones, English horns and bassoons; however, the company is perhaps most famous for their clarinets, as Buffet is the brand of choice for many professionals.

Pre-service Teachers Visited Chiba University

Since we have established an exchange program with Chiba University in 2017, we have been sending pre-service teachers abroad for training. In 2019, the exchange program was hosted by Professor Yeh Yi Fen, four pre-service teachers were sent to Japan in July for a two-week training.

Alumnus Wilbur Lin to be New Assistant Conductor at Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Wilbur Lin, an alumnus of NTNU, is selected as the assistant conductor among hundreds of applicants at Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. According to Lin, this is his first official contract in the states which last for a year and will start this fall. Before, he gave lessons occasionally. It's an exciting opportunity for him to join a professional orchestra. Lin will be responsible for the education program and tour of Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Cincinnati Symphony Youth orchestra.

GASE Summer Program goes to NTNU

Lê Hoa Nghiêm, a master’s student from the Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale, Avijit Balabantaray, a Bachelors student from Centurion University of Technology & Management in India, and Javed Ahmad, a master’s student from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), have been working with Professor Jacky Baltes at National Taiwan Normal University during the MOST GASE Summer Program.
