Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair in Taiwan Studies Talks about Travel Literature

The cultural talk held by the Dept. of Chinese as a second language and Higher Education Sprout Project Office was held at NTNU on Decmeber 6th. A Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair in Taiwan Studies, Prof. Liao Ping Hui was invited to talk about Travel Theories & Sinophone Cultural Studies.

Master of Cooperate Identity Nakanishi Motoo Talks About Design Management

The Department of Design, the Design Alliance Asia, the National Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise, jointly hosted the "Master of CI in Japan- Nakanishi Motoo" on December 6th. Nakanishi Motoo, the guru of corporate identity and brand planning was invited to Taiwan to share his rich experience in corporate identity (CI). Motoo Nakanishi has a profound experience of more than 60 years in CI in Japan. Famous Japanese companies and classic brands such as MAZDA, ASICS, KENWOOD, NTT, DoCoMo, Kirin Beer, Bridgestone, INAX, Matsuya Ginza, NISSAN, ITOCHU Corporation. Japanese news, Japanese steel, and Japanese life insurance are all examples of his work.

Prof. from Penn State University Promotes Quality Talk

To elevate and strengthen the skills and teaching quality of teachers in NTNU, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development invited Prof. Karen Murphy as the keynote speaker of EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) workshop and she talked about the methodology of Quality Talk.

University of Bordeaux Visits NTNU

On November 14th, Prof. Sandrine Rui, Vice President, Education, University Life and Citizenship; Prof. Laurent Servant, Vice President, International Networks; and Mr. Pierre-Yves Tourpin, International Partnerships Officer for Asia & Oceania, International Office from University of Bordeaux visited NTNU. Prof. Yung-Hsiang Ying, Executive Vice President; Prof. Yi-De Liu, Associate Vice President of Office of International Affairs; and Ms. Jo Wang, Global Partnership Manager of Office of International Affairs welcomed the guests in person.

Training Teachers for Bilingual Education for IB Schools Worldwide

Recently, education has been affected greatly by the trend of globalization. "Bilingual education" has also become an important issue in Taiwan’s education. From Taiwan to abroad, the demand for international teachers is growing. As a leader in the cultivation of teachers in Taiwan, NTNU spares no effort in cultivating educational talents. With a rigorous teacher training system that has been practiced for years, combined with the spirit of International Baccalaureate (IB), we expect to nurture excellent bilingual teachers to bring the education in Taiwan towards a new direction. NTNU was authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization in January 2018 as the first IB school for teacher's education in Taiwan. Now we have two different types, one is International Education and the other is International Chinese as a Second Language.
