Alumna Yang.Y.C joins Lega Serie A as first Taiwanese volleyball player

Yang Yi Chen, an alumna of the Department of Athletic Performance, joins Filottrano LARDINI, which belongs to Italian Women's Volleyball League Serie A1. She is the first female athlete from Taiwan that plays at the national league in Italy. LARDINI has 47 years of history. The men who made Yang's women's national volleyball team is Federica Rampazzo, a former coach for Lardini Filottrano. He is also the key figure that assisted Pei-Hung Huang the setter to join Latina last year.

Lin Kan Yu and teammate Win Bronze at Poomsae in Asian Games 2018

In the women's team taekwondo poomsae event at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, the team of Taiwan of Lin Kan Yu, Chen Yi Hsuan and Chen Hsiang Ting, brought us a bronze in the match with the Thai at the semi-final. After the game, Lin said that "We sure wanted to have high scores, but after we defeated the opponent, we told ourselves to do our best and we have got the medal!"

Record-breaking Tang Chia Hung Took Gold at Horizontal bar in 2018 Asian Games

After winning the first silver at gymnastic at Asian Games on August 23rd, TANG Chia Hung, a student of Department of Athletic Performance, won the second gold medal for Taiwan with 14.725 points. It's the first gold medal at horizental bar. Tang is the biggest winner in the filed with one silver and one gold.

Lin Ying Shin Took the First Gold of 2018 Asian Games at Air Rifle Mixed Team

The Shooting game of Jakarta Palembang 2018 Asian Games was held on August 19th. Lin Ying Shin, from the Department of Athletic Performance and her partner Lu Shao Chuan won the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team, beating China, India and South Korea. A record-breaking 494.1 points brought Taiwan the first gold medal from this year's Asian Games.

Lin Wins Bronze at Junior Shooting World Cup 2018

The Chinese Taipei team received success at the 2018 Junior Shooting World Cup. Lin Ying Shin, a student of the Department of Athletic Performance won a bronze in the women's 10 meter air rifle. The game was held on June 22nd to 29th at Suhl, Germany. A total of 146 female athletes attended the matches and 8 of them were able to play in the final round. Lin ranked number 4 with the score of 628.1 and came into third in her final round. The scores of the qualifying round weren’t counted in the final round. The winners of the game will be announced after 24 shots.
