Outstanding Alumna Nancy Rao Received Award from The American Musicological Society for her Publication

Outstanding Alumna of NTNTU, Prof. Nancy Rao, Head of the Music Theory Department, was presented with the Music in American Culture Award for her book Chinatown Opera Theatre in North America: The transformation of Chinese Music into American Music in the Early Twentieth Century (University of Illinois Press, 2017). This award is to recognize her achievement personally but also the major contribution the Chinese American has to the society and culture in the states. NTNU students and teachers shared this good news and President Wu praised Rao for her accomplishment academically in the field of music.

Alumnus Lee Ming Feng speaks at IAVE World Volunteer Conference

Lee Ming Feng, who has 16 years of volunteering experience and has summoned by the president for seven times, gave a speech at the 25th IAVE World Volunteer Conference as a Taiwanese representative on October 18th to volunteer leaders and representatives.

The Only Master Class of Andras Schiff in Taiwan

This is Andras Schiff's third time visiting Taiwan. Before his concert, he came to NTNU first for the one and only master class in our music hall. Hundreds of music lover and professionals came to appreciate his performance and his lecture. It's a rewarding afternoon. In addition to the students, retired professor Lina Yeh, Director Yang Jui Se and Associate Professor Chen Kuan Yu as well as Rolf-Peter Wille, Zhu Daming also attended the master class.

International Cultural Day at Linkou Campus

The International Cultural Day can be dated back to the school anniversary event. Many alumni would come back to visit their teachers and friends. Director of Overseas Students Preliminaries Hong Ren Jin hosted the opening ceremony. President Liu Hsiang Lin from the Office of International Affairs and Principal of National Overseas Chinese Senior High School were invited to the event. Local citizens came and learned about the activities in different cultures. More than 250 alumni returned and it was a memorable scene.

MOST and NTU System launch the Center for Global Affairs and Science Engagement (GASE)

The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) launched the Center for Global Affairs and Science Engagement (GASE) on November 14, 2018. GASE is a joint initiative between MOST, National Taiwan University (NTU), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST).
