Taiwan Team Scores 3 Gold and 2 Silver in 2017 IPhO

The 48th International Physics Olympiad was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 16-24 of July, 2017. The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, grabbed 3 gold and 2 silver this year. A total of 395 students from 86 countries attended this year.

Taiwanese Students Grabs Four Gold at 2017 IChO

The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, had a good showing at the 49th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2017 in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. A total of 279 students from 76 countries attended this year. Taiwan is ranked the first in the world with four golden medals. Yeh Yuan Chen from Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School was ranked 2nd in personal world rankings.

2017 Asia-Pacific Forum for Science Talented in NTNU

Asia-Pacific Forum for Science Talented was held in NTNU from July 1 to July 6. A total of 15 countries, 93 Students from Asia-Pacific region participating in the event. It’s hoped that through the mutual understanding and cultural exchange between students, the visibility and influence of gifted education can be fortified.

College of Liberal Arts Signed MOU with UCLA to Promote Academic Cooperation on Taiwan Languages and Culture

In recent years, NTNU has been working closely with world-class universities. On June 28th, the College of Liberal Arts of NTNU signed a MOU with The University of California, Los Angeles campus, UCLA, focusing on the exchange in linguists, literature and culture of Taiwan. This is a step forward for NTNU.

NARST Came To Taiwan For Abell Institute For The First Time

National Association for Research in Science Teaching, NARST, founded in 1928, is a global association of education based in USA. This year is the first time of them having the Sandra K. Abell Institute for Doctoral Student outside of the states, which was held between June 24th to June 28th .35 phD students and 12 foreign professors and an expert of evaluation came to NTNU.
