NTU System Goes to the Philippines for Collaboration
From January 10th to 13th, the NTU System delegation went South again to the Philippines, after their last endeavor to Malaysia and Indonesia for recruitment. NTU System held the "Taiwan-Philippines Academic Exchange Forum” with the officials and paid a visit to the Ministry of Science and with well-known higher education institutions.2017.0122

DPPOCS Held Ancestor Worshipping Ceremony for New Year
The Division of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students has the largest overseas student in Taiwan. To welcome the upcoming lunar New Year, a luncheon was held on January 6th at the student restaurant of Linkou campus. Every year, the DPPOCS will held a ceremony worshipping ancestors in accordance with formal rituals. President Chang is the officiate. Guests from the Ministry of Education and other officials came and joined the worshipping ceremony. By this event, students can chat with their friends and greeted each other.2017.0120
Collaborating with U. of British Columbia on Leader Development
In order to assist the academic leaders and teachers who has just worked in NTNU on their understanding of the working environment, the Flying Geese Camp was held. In addition to the offsite training during the semester, there’s also a training course on January 6th, helping the deans to acquainting how the international business is run in the campus, answering the questions that faculties may have. President Sheu Tian Ming of the National Academy of Educational Research and President Chang Kuo En came to give a toast, encouraging the academic leaders. President Chang said that internationalization is the most important step for NTNU to transform. The leaders shoulder the responsibilities to lead the departments towards internationalization. President Sheu, who was the Dean of the College of Department of NTNU said that he was proud and honored to see that NTNU is performing better every year on internationalization.
