Chiu-yu Tseng from English Dept. Becomes Fellow of ISCA
Dr. Chiu-yu Tseng, currantly Chair of Institute of Linguistics in Academia Sinica, is elected Fellow of International Speech Communication Association (abbreviated. ISCA). With her contributions to prosody understanding through corpus-based analysis and modeling, Dr. Tseng is the first female scholar and the second Taiwanese receiving this distinguished fellowship. As the market of mandarin learning expands around the world, NTNU cooperates with Asia University and China Medical University and signed the agreement of establishment the “United Mandarin Center of NTNU and China Asia Associated University” on July 6th at Asia University.2016.0706
NTNU Alumni goes to Global Entrepreneurship Summit
Viola Cheng from the In-service Master Program of the Department of Adult and Continuing Education was invited to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit as the first Taiwanese representative. The 7th Global Entrepreneurship Summit was held by the United States from June 22nd to 24th in Silicon Valley. Among 5000 entrepreneurs, only 100 will be selected by the United States Department of State. There are three people from Taiwan that has the honor and Cheng is the only student.2016.0706
International Conference on Positive Behavior Support in NTNU
The Department of Special Education held The First Asia Pacific International Conference on Positive Behavior Support on June 24th and 25th. 120 Professionals and scholars from the States, Canada, Australia, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Siri Lanka had a good time in the conference hall at the library.2016.0624
