Experts from Asia Pacific Discussed about Inquiry Teaching and Learning in NTNU
With the adapting of the 2019 curriculum, the working group of promoting curriculum in regular high school and the Center for Educational Research the International co-organize the Symposium on Inquiry Teaching and Learning in High Schools: Approaches and Strategies. It was held at NTNU on October 25t and 26th. Experts coming from Australia, Thailand and Hong Kong came to share their experience and hope to come up with a solution that suits the teaching practice in Taiwan.2019.1113
Malaysian Alumna Ang Mei Foong Receives National Academic Awards
Ang Mei Foong is the alumna of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), where she learned under Prof. Ren Rong; she then continued her vocal studies at Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia, Rome, where she learned with Maestra Rebecca Berg; and subsequently the University of Melbourne, under the tutelage of the renowned Australian soprano Merlyn Quaife. Now, she teaches at the Music Department of University Putra Malaysia (UPM). On October 30rd, she was given the honor of the The Arts and Creativity at the Education Ministry’s 13th National Academic Awards, presented by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Nanyang Technological University Signed MOU with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, Dept. of Design
Principal Investigator Hsu Ho Chieh of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Design Department of NTNU signed a MOU with Prof. Wang I-Hsuan Cindy, the Principal Investigator of The Spirit of Chinese Brushwork & Crafts of Nanyang Technological University for mutual study and research. The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is the second oldest public autonomous research university in Singapore. With a population of 33,500 students and 10,000 faculty and staff, NTU is the second largest university in Singapore. Their QS Ranking in 2019 is 12 and 3rd in Asia Universities.2019.1111
2019 Welcome Party Ice You for Exchange Students
On the evening of October 7th, foreign students of NTNU gathered at hall 210 at General building for their welcome party filled with performances, delicious food and games. The party was organized by the Office of International Affairs and NTNU International Youth. It was scheduled on September 30th and postponed because of typhoon. The beach themed party was decorated with colorful balloons and picture spots. Students can feel the hospitality and kindness from NTNU, a place they will be studying for a period of time.2019.1109
